At the heart of every SRES planter is the unit cover assembly where SRES makes the modifications to the Monosem row units. The modification is the polyurethane molded "insert" (2) which fills the empty space of the seed chamber, forcing all of the seed to the plate and allowing every seed to be planted.

The insert has been a part of the SRES planter since the beginning and has gone through phases of evolution. The latest phase, duly named the SurePlant cover assembly, eliminates the "evacuation side" of the unit, reducing the risk of lost seed.

The seed inlet hole (3) was increased in diameter, eliminating seed bridging issues with large quantities of seed. The evacuation hole (4) diameter was decreased, increasing evacuation efficiency.

These changes in the cover assembly also allow you the flexibility of planting from one seed up to 10,000 seeds - without making a SINGLE change.

The slide assembly has been replaced by a newly designed "staging gate" (5) where seed rests in a clear staging area, and can be observed entering the planter.

The alley wiper (6) has also been simplified and improved. SRES uses a 3/4" nylon button to cut off vacuum to the seed plate at the alley.
