Just like seed companies start with great genetics and then add technology traits that make sense… SRES starts with the best Precision Planter available, the Monosem Precision Vacuum Planter, and then adds its own research modifications that make sense for your applications. This unique concept has allowed SRES to deliver unmatched precision spacing and singulation in plot planting which means your data is more reliable.

The keys to SRES reliability and precision are, maintaining the integrity of the Monosem row units, and using as few moving parts as possible (2). The SRES original design allows two plots on a single seed plate at the same time. This simple design allows for planting speeds up to 3 mph. The seed meter is fitted with a uniquely designed polyurethane insert that reduces the size of the seed chamber, allowing every last seed to be planted…..or evacuated in a second or less. Seeds that are not planted are suctioned to centralized evacuation tanks requiring simple emptying once or twice a day.

Flexibility - The seed industry is in rapid change! Many research locations are being asked to double their number of plots in the next few years. Others are switching crops all together! Flexibility and upgradeability has become more and more important. At SRES, every planter marries to the next upgrade, meaning that you could start from a Step 1 Classic planter…and we can upgrade you all the way to an Advanced Planter….seamlessly! Remember, a cone planter will ALWAYS be a cone planter!

Easy Changeover - The easily accessible seed meter and seed plate mean less down time and increased productivity in the field. The seed plates for the typical 8-Row SRES planter can be changed in 15 minutes or less. (That’s all 8 rows folks!!) The SRES Divider is easy to change as well. The divider and single drop are sold as one unit, and can be changed in about 30 seconds…while maintaining an average 52-48 split.

Ergonomics and Safety - Rider safety and comfort is a top priority at SRES. We start with a wider platform than our competitors, allowing rider mobility with reduced risk. Our innovative hand rail system also integrates a fully adjustable seat system. SRES air shock, rider seats are the most comfortable and ergonomic seats in the industry….Why? A rider who is uncomfortable and bouncing around gets fatigued quickly, and fatigue leads to mistakes! Ergonomics were in mind when we designed our dividers as well, SRES dividers are closer and lower than any other dividers.
